MINI factory replacement Cover and Base for the ECU / DME for the 2nd generaton MINIs built in August 2011 and later.  (See NOTE below for earlier models) The ECU is the MINIs main computer located in the engine compartment next to the fuse box.  The Cover and Base is available separately.

NOTE:  The design of the ECU Cover and Base changed with the August 2011 production date. 

• Models built before 08/2011 had an ECU cover with female slots to accept tabs on the base. 
• Models built after 08/2011 have an ECU cover with Male tabs on the cover with female slots on the base. 

The cover and base are not interchangeable and must match.  Unfortunately, the earlier design is no longer available.  If you have a MINI with production date before 08/2011 and your cover is broken, you will need to replace both the cover and base with this newer version.
