The standard version does not have access holes for the rear seat belt anchors.
The version with seatbelt grommets allows access to the rear seatbelt anchors for racing harness designed to use those anchors
Fits the following models:
2002-2006 R50 Mini Cooper and R53 Cooper S Hardtop
2007-2013 R56 Mini Cooper and Cooper S Hardtop
If you have racing harnesses such as the Schroth harness, you will need the kit with grommets (G2NMI6011) to provide access to the seatbelts. (RSD with grommets are currently unavailable. 11/9/22)
The seat delete is secured using stock mounting points. On the Schroth Harness, the outer belt needs to be mounted to the floor with the stock seat belt mounting bolt. The harness that plugs into the center buckles can be plugged in and removed with the seat delete in place. When you are done racing, you can simply unplug the center buckles and store your harness under the seat delete.
Manufacturers warranty applies.
Here is a video posted by a customer showing how the rear seat backs are removed:
SPECIAL TOOLS: A T40 Torx bit is required for removal of factory bolts. Torx Bits can be found for a few dollars at a tool or hardware store.
