Classic Mini Ignition Coil Ballast Type For The 65d Distributor
This is the standard non ballast coil as used on the late Mini with factory electronic ignition for use with 65D distributor. GCL143 was the Genuine Rover part fitted on 1275's from 1990.
This coil is rated at 0.9 Ohms. Not to be used with points (contact breaker) distributors.
GCL211 was the alternative to GCL143 but was from Unipart and made by Intermotor to a higher specification which was fitted to SPI cars in Japan as original equipment plus some UK cars as it was a superior better quality product.
Our research, sales and feedback shows Intermotor coils to be the best available for the Classic Mini.
