All Bugeye Sprites had single action pistons in the rear brakes as did the very first "Square nosed" Sprite MkII and Midget MkI's. Slightly later Sprites & Midgets, from May 1962 through Sept. 1962 had this much improved double piston cylinder, GWC1115. The first chassis numbers with this cylinder were HAN6 20792 & GAN1 13555. This continued only for a few months until the introduction of factory front disc brakes in Oct 1962. From then on, all Sprites and Midgets used the GWC1102 wheel cylinders in the rear. Two (2) required per car.
