About getting an import broker for Mini Mk1 body shell. I contacted three freight brokers here in Nashville and they tell me the the seller is the importer of record.
I will pay the fees but the company needs to be the one bring the body shell into the country.

Hi, That sounds correct. We would have it drop shipped to an airport or seaport where the broker would then clear all of the customs and duties. We would be responsible for the delivery with insurance and billed for that cost to you.

I'm restoring a badly rusted Mk.1 Cooper S. Are these new bodyshells available? In the alternative, are the full floor assemblies and other major panels available?
Answer:
Yes, the Mk I shells are still made, bu they have to be specially ordered from the UK and they're only manufactured to order a couple of times a year. In fact, the last deadline was March 31st for the build that is planned for June. I wouldn't necessarily believe that this will happen right now due to the virus. I would expect that build to be pushed back.
We have another UK vendor that carries some of these shells for stock so it may be possible to order one once whenever that build is completed. Shipping is very expensive - somewhere around $2K is what I remember from the last one we sold.
We do sell and stock other floor pans and Mk I body panels, though. Be aware however that the virus has slowed our shipments from the UK and air freight costs have gone through the roof. So, everything is still doable but there may be significant delays for now.
We have another UK vendor that carries some of these shells for stock so it may be possible to order one once whenever that build is completed. Shipping is very expensive - somewhere around $2K is what I remember from the last one we sold.
