All the Minis with sliding door windows also have external door hinges. And while these have worked for years it is most probable that many of them are now a bit loose. When taken to an extreme not only will they become more difficult to close but they actually get so bad that the body will crack at the door jam near the door lock. The best solution is to install new hinges, but if you are concerned about your budget then your only other option is to install new bushings and pins in your existing hinges.
