Austin Mini Oil Cooler Hose Kit Pre-engaged Starter To 1992 15 Inch And 22 Inch
Braided oil cooler lines for Pre-1992 engines on Minis with the pre-engaged starters. These engines had the block union as 5/8" UNF andd the 1/4" NPT filter head. Block hose is 15" and filter hose is 22".
Question:
I have a 1275 with an oil cooler that slides in behind the car grill and under the alternator.
From looking at the front of the car:
On the left side of the cooler, I have the pipe that goes from the top of the oil filter to the "inlet" on the cooler. This is a heavy rubber hose with two large fittings attached.
On the right side I have a 90 degree fitting, with a male thread. I am missing the pipe.
I need to buy the other pipe with the proper length and correct fittings. The fittings should be a female thread on the oil cooler end, and a male thread to go back into the block.

The oil cooler on a Mini only ever came equipped with rubber lines. A metal line would crack as the engine moves in relation to the cooler that is mounted to the body, Your choice is either the braided lines you have seen or these:
