Classic Mini Sliding Window Latch Lock Kit Mk I & Mk II Original Type In Chrome

Sliding window catches chrome type for classic Mini Mk I & Mk II, Traveller, Van, Countryman, Riley Elf and Wolseley Hornet. Classic Minis and Mini Coopers had chrome metal catches for the sliding windows and channels. Black and white plastic catches replaced the original ones in May 1963 explaining why they are so difficult to find. This kit is a premium original reproduction. It conforms high quality of manufacturing and ensures a vintage style. This is a full and complete kit: 4 chrome latches + 4 white plastic parts + 4 rubber seals + 4 chrome screws + 4 chrome nuts. The parts are made of Zamak (a mixture of Zinc and Aluminum) and manufactured by high temperature injection in a steel mold. Few other technical materials offer such a combination of strength, hardness and rigidity. The piston of the mechanism is made of 316L stainless steel to ensure optimal operation and solidity. The polishing is manual and galvanization is made by hanging plating bath (each piece is manually hung on a frame and then soaked in treatment baths). A colorless epoxy lacquer is then applied to protect the parts against oxidation.
