When Ordering this kit, you must provide the FULL ENGINE CASTING NUMBER so that we can supply the correct kit for your set-up. If ordering through the Internet, put the casting number in the comments/notes field. We cannot fulfill the order without this information. If possible also include the year and model of car that the engine was from.
No need in extending your Mini for this swap. This kit allows you to fit the Honda D-Series engine into your Mini without any external body modifications. The MTD Series was designed to install Honda’s D Series SOHC engines into the Classic Mini (1959-2000), upgrading the Classic Minis A-Series engine with today’s most trusted engines built by Honda. With four times the horsepower of a stock Mini 850 and a thousand times the reliability, you might realize the reason for the swap. Reliability and knowing that your car will run in any condition is a great feeling to have everyday. Have fun with your Classic Mini.

Question:
I'm looking into converting my mini to a honda D series. In Sweden, we have a restriction that you can only have 15kw/100kg so I am looking to fit a D15Z6 or D15Z9, does that engine and driveshaft fit your subframe?
Answer:
Yes, those motors will fit into the subframe - as long as they are D series - however, some D-series engine use different mounts than others, and it's important to know which one you have before ordering. Some of the engines weren't available in the U.S. so I won't have all the details, but if you have things like mounts and such then it would be much more straight forward.
