The basic problems with the Minor's lever shocks are ; you have to disassemble the suspension to change them, they don't work well, and they're too expensive! Our easy, bolt-on kit enables you to add modern telescoping shocks to the front of any year Morris Minor. No fabrication talents are required, and when you wear these shocks out you can replace for a lot less than a set of rebuilt lever shocks. Kit includes standard oil filled shocks, mounting hardware and instructions.
Question:
Does the conversion shock kit leave stock level shocks in place or replace them on a 1959 Morris traveler? Do you sell front and rear?
Answer:
Yes, most the front tube shock conversions on Sprites, Midgets, and Morris Minors leave the stock lever shocks in place since the stock lever shocks perform double duty; dampening and act as the upper arm of the suspension. Usually it's just a matter of removing the valve so the shock just travels without resistance. On the rear, I'm not sure but my guess is that the rear lever shocks are removed since there's already the leaf spring arrangement there.
