This water-to-oil Oil Cooler / Heat exchanger on the Cooper S models uses the engine coolant to help raise oil temperature when the car is cold, and helps reduce the oil temperature when the engine is hot. Unit is mounted to the base of the oil filter housing.

Fits the following Cooper S models:

2002-2006 R53 MINI Cooper S Hardtop
2005-2008 R52 MINI Cooper S Convertible
