NOTE: The hole at the bottom of the oil filter will appear much smaller than the shaft in the filter base - this is NORMAL and CORRECT. If you press the filter into the base, the hole will 'stretch' over the shaft. This is a design feature to ensure a tight seal so the oil does not bypass the filter.

All Cooper models, or Cooper S models with Automatic Transmission.

The MINI factory has discontinued the fully assembled housing, so we are supplying all of the individual pieces to make up the same identical housing at the same price - all MINI factory original parts.  Includes the base, cover, o-ring, filter, gasket and oil pressure switch.

Install the filter with the black plastic ring 'down' into the housing.  Torque the cover to oil filter housing to 25Nm or 18 ft-lb.

Install the Oil Pressure Warning Switch into the housing at 20Nm or 15 ft-lb. (The factory uses a sealant on the threads).

For the 3 bolts that attach the Housing to the Block, use the following Torque:
30 Nm (22 lb-ft) on the W10 engine (Cooper non-S)
25 Nm (18 lb-ft) on the W11 engine (Cooper S)

For the 3 bolts that attach the Housing to the Block, use the following Torque:
30 Nm (22 lb-ft) on the W10 engine (Cooper non-S)
25 Nm (18 lb-ft) on the W11 engine (Cooper S)

MINI factory OEM replacement oil filter base & cover (w/filter). Includes the entire housing with filter and sensor. Also includes gaskets (and O-rings) for the housing cover, oil cooler,  and between the base and block.
