This is a HEAVY DUTY version of the original QL5000 U-Joints. Not only are they the best option for the serious driver but are a great upgrade for everyday use! Direct replacement for the original U-joints (either the GCD101 or QL5000).
The very early Minis used the rubber U-joint drive couplings to eliminate vibration from being transmitted to the passenger compartment. Over the years the rubber will separate from the metal sleeves and allow the driveshaft to rotate out of concentricity. Not only can this cause vibration, but it can also allow it to hit either the transmission case or, more often, the exhaust pipe.
The rubber coupling has been superceded by these superior nylon cups with needle bearings. Includes joints for both axles.
