With a rare (around 500 made) Jensen Healey GT in the background.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Give a car more power and it goes faster on the straights,
make a car lighter and it's faster everywhere. Colin Chapman.

1968 Mk1 Cooper S. We sold it to my boss for $600 + a paint job by his bro' on my Fiat 124AC coupe.
We sold the S because 2 adults + 2 kids + groceries + twin tanks does not fit in a Mini Cooper S.
Replacement was a Morris 1300 automatic (= 4 door AA) bought for $100 unregistered. I fixed it up and the wife drove it for 4 or 5 years and then sold it for $400.

Kevin G

1360 power- Morris 1300 auto block, S crank & rods, Russell Engineering RE282 sprint cam, over 125HP at crank, 86.6HP at the wheels @7000+.

If I still owned my '72 510 I'd be installing a FJ20 or KA24DE Twincam engine powering the rear wheels!

Time to buy a lotto ticket and get some of these back.

John did you sell your Locort?

Yep, selling that one really hurt. Job change and a smaller paycheck was to blame. The Mini is still in the garage which is a good thing.

MkIII Sprite ('66) great car for a college kid; bought over my Dad's dead body -- literally

'68 Camaro 327/275hp; right at the top of it's NHRA bracket; first car out of college; Traded for a '70 Opel GT (I know, believe me, I know)

'70 Dodge Challenger 340 Six-Pak; deemed "inappropriate" for a 7-Eleven Field Representative/Supervisor; left with the arrival of my son

i have had many many sport cars but my mother had a 1971 ford Thunderbird, my father ordered it in a custom brown metallic paint with same brown leather interior and a HO 429ci cobra motor, last year of the suicide doors. they offered it to me when they sold it in 1979 for $1800 but "i didn't want anything to do with that gas guzzling pimp mobile"

Probably either one of my former BMC Moblile support vehicles-Both badged as 1963 Morris vehicles ,finished by Marshall Bodies with six cylinder diesels-

The first one went back to the U K for a resto, whereas the last one went to Texas and then on to California, where Wayne Corsini of Chasing Classic Cars now owns it-I have a DVD of Jane Leno and Wayne driving it around L A-

Wish l had it back but not at the $90K price tag-

79 Jet 200 Lambretta - purchased new in 1983 - was in a corner of an assembly shop and never got to the dealership. Sold to Mod girl who took it to Germany, tracked it down 10 yrs later but she didn't want to sell. Rusting in Coronado still I bet. I can still hear the epaulets of my Member's Only jacket flapping in the wind (and my mullet too)...
