now if they came in rains (with tread) so I could drive them on the street...that would be great.

Spitz, I have run only 2 Track-day events on those 32s, but countless nine-tenths canyon runs, and every single on/off ramp that I take is drifty-fast. even spun a couple times on the ramps. also ran 5 Autocross events, with extra fun runs thrown in, up to 8 passes per event. the rest is fast highway miles, mostly on long trips 3,200 miles MM-west Canada, 1400 miles MM-west lake tahoe, and a 700 mile Arizona trip to swap out my roof for a carbon one. Fronts still have faint tread showing,(rotated to the rear), they will all probably be bald in less than 500 miles. They are also 11 years old at this point, and probably pretty hard.  I have another "new" set in plastic bags, in the garage, if anyone is interested. 80 bucks each.

I can't believe you have 8K on a set of 032's after racing them.....did you push the car around the track?...LOL

production lead time is about 6 weeks.  I doubt they will last as long as the A032s, I have about 8 thousand miles of hard driving and track time on my 32s so far, but the Hoosiers, which are over an inch wider, with no tread and softer compound, will have a lot more grip; the 32s are basically a street tire.

Count me in for a set if the durability is somewhere near the A032's on the track and the price is similar. Any idea on timeframe for arrival after reaching critical mass?

Cooper, I have been relying on the fact that the NZ "Super Mini" series and "7 series" have been using these tires for years, but I will contact some of the drivers there to try and get more specific info, and post it here.

If I may ask, have you been in touch with anyone running these tires? How long do they last ( good for a weekend, a season? ) do they fall of quickly. What kind of series are they used in? Are they good for 30 hard laps? How well do they heat cycle? If they come in more than one compound would autocrossers want the softer tire. Big diff in 1 half hour session and an autocross. Thanks for finding out about cost.

Still need about 4 more guys to get on board for the Hoosier order.

Got a bit more news on both the American Racing Ausi tires and the Hoosier NZ spec slicks.  It looks like the Hoosiers will be ordered in R75; (longer lasting), and the diameter is 18.1" with a 6.2 tread width (6.8 sidewall on a 6" rim). The Americans with the open tread pattern, are nearly the same dimensions, but they do not seem to be available (for sale) yet this year, in North America, and I have not received a reply about pricing either.  The distributor said that the manufacturer has addressed the "chunking" issue;(see above photo), but can not say if they will take the heat from the desert tracks we run on around here, up to 120 degrees F, in the shade.  If you might be interested in the Hoosier slicks at a bargain, well under 1/2 the price of Dunlops,(not even counting the importation costs), please post here, so I can get the ball rolling in time for spring racing.

Ok, this looks like we have some interest going for the Hoosier NZ slicks. about 5 people so far.  If I can get 5 more interested in a set of 4 tires each, I will start the ball rolling, and start firming up an order list.  Anybody else interested, please post here, and make sure I have access to your contact info on your "profile page".

I am running down info on the Ausi tires(America Racer), and will post anything I find out there as well. Thanks to all for your info contributions.

Put me on the 'interested' list.  I have OLD slicks on my 10x7 Kads for mock up.

American Racer is what was McCreary and they do not list the tire on their site as it is made for the Australian market.  Dyrk Bolger //www.classicmotorworks.citymax.com/page/page/1875856.htm in Manitoba Canada has been able to get these tires and he would be your source.  The are a bit wider and softer than the Hoosier TD and the 2012 tire has a stiffer sidewall.  They are also cheaper and seam to last longer than the hoosier.

Cheers

Dennis

Not sure about the tire on the yellow car' I got the pics off a NZ site that had several pics, a couple of which you could see the sidewalls with the Hoosier logo.  I probably shouldn't have assumed they were all Hoosiers.

Never heard of a tire company named "America Racers"!  where are they located, and what do you know about their tires?   I found a company called Hankook, but don't see any listings for 10s on their site.

Steve :  Be sure you know what you're looking at when it come to the pictures from www.miniracing.co.nz as they run the Dunlop slick on their Miglia and open class cars which are much wider.  I'm pretty sure that's what you've posted, especially the yellow car.

Have you looked at the America Racer?  Dyrk Bolger has been supplying them in North America.  The picture is of Graham Russell's overheated and blistered tire from a very hot Philip Island last year.  This is a tire made in the USA for the Austalian racing scene.

Cheers

Dennis

I think they will fit on 6s, but I will find out for sure.  DBO, I see you have posted a pic of what appears to be a NZ car with the Hoosier slicks. Correct?
