Pretty amazing how stable that Mini is at speed, built before B-Series final drive & somehow managed to get bigger diameter wheels on it? I wonder how a new K-Series would do in the LWB? Crap, blew my motor, got a replacement off of Craigslist same day and got it replaced by Mon morn for the commute to work. Do that in a 911 for under a thousand $.

Welcome. Your Porsche sounds like a fun drive. Sounds like you're hunting for a sorted car with an updated drivetrain. Are you considering an original type drivetrain or you open to considering a VTEC powered car? Also, what's your approximate budget? Lastly, where are you located and how far from home do you want to search?

Car nut with a few questions.

First of all I have a 72 Porsche 911, a sleeper as we used to call it them.  Everything upgraded, engine suspension, weight, wheels an tires.

Always wanted a Mini but not looking for a stock numbers car.  I have 234,000 on my Porsche, it gets driven on the road, DE's and autox.

Would like something similar from a Mini.  Something with a little more than stock performance but not so much that it needs care all the time.

My Porsche is built to run the daylight savings out of but drive home and just change the oil and adjust the valves.

Any suggestions or cars available appreciated, oh early Mini's not the later ones.
