Oh come on Spitz you're spoiling the fun
tb check your nuts. Another way around it is to install front Hi Lo's in the front at the same time you won't need a donut compressor. The rears just about fall out when you jack up the car so they are easy to check.

.....except that many later classic MINI springs...especially the ones sent to CA, did not have a nut in the centre for compressing.  I guess they were trying to save money (?)

As you are on a budget you can swap the fronts with the rears to get by, as the rears do not carry as much load they tend to be in better shape.

Oh so its called a cone??, im kinda confused because the trumphet looks like a cone shape too???  Haaay! Anyway, i think going to spring hi lo's is the best bet . At least in the front, i dont care about the rear, because the only heavy load in the rear is the battery and my tools., i only put $2 gas everytime i go out.
thanks for the advice

Used cone's probably won't help you.  Best off seeing if anyone is selling a used spring conversion or take a look at the vendors across the pond.

no wonder i felt  too much vibration on that side of the wheel.

The rubber and the metal cone are meant to be two pieces and not fused, the wieght of the car should keep them together.  This site helped me a lot with photos.  My  rubber was completely shot.  I ended up replacing with new quality rubber and adjustible height cones on all 4 corners.  There are 100s of threads on this forum, i recommend reading them.  Also consider going to a coilover setup.

Crack open the Haynes manual Not threaded they just sit together. Jack up the car then line them up and lower the car. Unless you have some worn out parts this should work.
