These aluminum 'polka-dot' kick plates were originally fitted to the MKI Mini to protect the door seals, but they will replace the later plastic type. They prevent you from damaging the seal as you step on the bottom edge. They wrap around the inner 3/4 edge of the seal and extend down the inside of the door opening.
