One of two return springs, per wheel, for Classic Mini single-leading front drum brakes and all 10" Classic Mini rears. This is the one with the coil in the center of the spring.

A good mechanic will replace the pull-off springs (17H7621 and 17H8092) when installing new brake shoes. The return springs rust and fatigue over time and may have been damaged by improper installation in the past.

For Sprite and Midget applications, use two (2) per car, one each on the bottom of the rear drums.
