On Mini models from 1976 thru 1984, the turn signal switch when mounted on the right side of the steering column also controls the horn and the high beam flasher operation. If any of these functions stop operating,then you will most likely need to replace the switch. The internals of the switch are very complicated and thus very difficult to try to repair!
