The wiper motor drives a rack inside the metal tube that fits beneath the dash of the Classic Mini. The rack is very well-protected inside the case, but the tube is often bent and/or rusted. This special kit for Mk1/Mk2 Classic Minis supplies all 3 tube pieces needed, plus the special nut not otherwise available; note that the Mk1/Mk2 models had a shorter tube piece that the later version between the wheelboxes.
