Classic Mini steering rack MKII and later right hand drive
If you are interested in performance driving then you know reaction time from the driver to the car is critical; the time it takes to turn the steering wheel to the desired angle is important! The stock rack from Mini Cooper Mk II on is 2.7 turns lock to lock, our quick ratio is 2.2 turns!
Does not include steering tie rod ends. See GSJ100 for standard tie rod ends and GSJ158 for longer tie rod ends for lowered cars.
If you are replacing the rack on a MKI Mini & Cooper, you should also use the MKII steering arms:BTA896 for right, and BTA897 for left.
See GSR626E for the standard RHD rack.
For left hand drive, see FAM7307MS and C-FAM7307.
Does not include steering tie rod ends. See GSJ100 for standard tie rod ends and GSJ158 for longer tie rod ends for lowered cars.

See GSR626E for the standard RHD rack.
For left hand drive, see FAM7307MS and C-FAM7307.
Question:
Installing the quick ratio rack, can it cause issues with the steering wheel being not centered? And the steering coupler being off by 180 Degrees?
Answer:
I wouldn't think it would, no. All it's supposed to do is be geared so that there's fewer turns lock to lock.
