Wooden 3 clock dashboard, with carbon fibre finish.
Question:
Will this dashboard fit a 1990 Right hand drive Mini? I will be getting different instrumentation, but beyond that is there any other modification required, or is this a straight forward bolt in?
Answer:
It should be a simple bolt-in procedure. If your 1990 is a 3-clock type centered over the steering column I would say it will fit your Mini.

Question:
We are installing this dashboard for a customer who has purchased a number of items from you in his conversion to vtec.
Currently I have the task of building his dashboard and have the following Qs:
1) we are going with AutoMeter gauges. I still need to add in a least three indicator lights: High Beam, Ignition, Engine warning. I was thinking of using small, LEDs. a) Do you where I can source these? b) what is the best way to drill in the dash? c) I will need to remove the trim you have on the gauge pod (have already removed the pod), is there an easy way to do this? d) can we just swap with one you have without the chrome plastic trim? 2) We need vents for this. e) what do you recommend? 3) f) what are the other trim bars you sell to be used for?
And, the trim parts are https://www.minimania.com/part/MSA0300/Austin-Mini-Door-Capping-Set-In-Carbon-Fiber
Where do they go?
Answer:
1a) We do not sell LEDs, but they are pretty common - I use superbrightleds.com for my own personal projects
1b) for Carbon Fiber I usually use green painters taper over the area to be drilled so it prevents fraying and cracking - then use a standard drill bit. the dust is toxic, so be aware of that and use PPE
1c) I am not sure if this is considered 'removable' or if it's glued on - I don't have any of the carbon finish pods without trim
2) vents are available used - we don't have any in stock but if you make an order for U-JPC8632 we can procure them for you. I've seen other vent "plugs" before but do not sell them
The door cappings go on the top edge (interior) of the doors and under the rear side windows in the back.
