The CV Joint Boot is critical to protecting the expensive Constant Velocity Joints and contains the lubricants for proper function. Any tear in the boot will expose the CV Joint to the elements and debris, and will allow the lubricant to escape. Once the joint is contaminated, it is only a matter of time before the CV Joint fails - leading to expensive repairs. If you see a tear in the axle boot - get it fixed!

The Cooper and Cooper S uses the same repair kits for both sides.

The Cooper (non-S) with manual transmission uses unique kits, one for production dates up to 05/2008, and another for 05/2008 and beyond.

The Cooper (non-S) with Automatic transmission and Cooper S with manual and automatic share the same kits.
