From the manufacturer of high-end exhaust system upgrades for European Exotics (exclusively for MINI), QuickSilver's High Performance Lightweight Exhaust system system offers more horsepower, a crisp sporting sound, unique twin 3" Carbon Fiber tips that fills out the rear bumper, and an all straight-through design for optimum efficiency.

Fits the following models:

2009-2015 R57 MINI Cooper S Convertible.

The tone at idle is nice and deep, similar to a Borla system. The QuickSilver system has slightly more volume throughout the rpm range when compared to the Borla. Definitely not loud or annoying, but a nice sporting sound.

This system delivers on every aspect that our customers have requested:

[ ] Great Sounds
[ ] Performance Increase - Dyno tests show 6 bhp improvement
[ ] Light Weight
[ ] Quality Construction
[ ] Great looks
[ ] Simple Installation

QuickSilver's newly developed 'Sports' exhaust system is designed to let the 4 cylinder turbo engine breathe more freely and sound great. Maintains the stock 2.25" diameter for maximum response.

Drastic weight reduction - from 40 lbs. to 18.6 lbs! Twin 3" exhaust tips gives your Mini an individual and assertive look. Simple Bolt-On design with no cutting required. This system eliminates the secondary resonator from the stock system.

Pleasant increase in volume with an encouraging 'Rasp' on acceleration - just right for Urban use.

The QuickSilver team has engineered the 'Sports' system's internal design to allow the volume and flow to increase in proportion with rpm. This provides the engine with a deeper tone at low engine speeds rising to a unique, higher pitched and crisper exhaust note at higher rpm.

Attention to detail has always been a hallmark of QuickSilver products and this is no exception. Using Type 304 austenitic stainless steel, the pipes are mandrel bent to keep a constant internal diameter throughout the length ensuring an even flow of exit gases.

Quicksilver supplies exhaust upgrades Worldwide for brands such as Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Bugatti, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Lotus, Maserati, Mercedes, and Porsche, just to name a few. QuickSilver Exhaust Systems have been a recognized maker of original and ‘Sports’ performance stainless steel exhaust systems for the World’s finest classic, prestige and exotic sports cars since 1973.

  • This exhaust system is designed to bolt-in at the downpipe flange which removes the secondary catalytic converter. If you wish to keep the secondary catalytic converter, you can have a muffler shop cut and clamp or weld downstream from the cat.
  • Will not cause 'Check Engine Lights'.
  • 3 Piece design includes 'B' pipe, tail pipe, and Carbon Fiber exhaust tips.
  • 25 Year Manufacturers' Warranty against corrosion.
  • Imported item - delivery can take 2+ weeks depending on inventory levels.

The sound is Awesome!!! Very deep and throaty at low RPM's and gets a bit higher pitched after 4500 RPMs. NO droaning at all at cruise speeds such as 45 or 65mph. It gets a bit bassy if you are at a high gear say 6th going 40mph and give it a little gas. Simple down shift takes care of it. I'll see after the breakin time how much it settles down. Right now though, it is great!!! You can really hear the turbo spooling up to redline now, pulls much faster and stronger, and revs faster as well. Traction control kept going off! There maybe something about that 30+hp they claim, I can really understand it being possible since it Does eliminate both the resonator and one Cat. Very happy!! and very simple install!!

NOTE: Some states (like California) have ever tightening requirements for emissions testing and inspections. Always check your local regulations on compliance for street use.

On the Quicksilver Exhaust for use on a 2015 Mini S Convertible (R57), Exhaust P/N G2NME2021. How does the exhaust sound differ if you Install it after the resonator vs running the pipes straight thru and eliminating the Resonator & Pre Muffler completely. Is it better for the engine (Tune) to leave the resonator installed?
The exhaust sound with the resonator eliminated may be slightly louder than with the resonator - a noticeable difference but not a huge difference. (very subjective)

Removing the resonator will not affect the tune since there are no sensors before or after the resonator. It is more for 'noise pollution'...

The description of the Quicksilver Cat Back Exhaust for the 2015 Mini S (R57) Convertible states this exhaust requires the removal of the Resonator on the stock exhaust. Later in the description it states you remove the secondary Catalytic converter, is this a typo?, I thought you are only removing the resonator. I didn't think the mini had a secondary catalytic converter.
Some people refer to the can after the flange as a secondary catalytic converter while some people refer to as a 'resonator' so we use both in the description. I believe it is actually a cat, but there are no sensors on this can so removing it will not cause any check engine lights.
