To remove the vibration damper, you need to first lock the flywheel - there is an access plug at the bottom of the bellhousing and a special BMW tool to lock the flywheel. Once locked, you can remove the bolts on the hub of the vibration damper and remove the damper.
MINI specifies new pulley bolts when servicing the vibration damper or crank pulley. These bolts are one time use 'stretch bolts'.
