It should be possible to add the S493A Storage option (false floor) but it will probably involve removing the rear seats and replacing many of the rear trunk lower trim around the deep well and lot of labor.
If you look at the false floor panel, you can see the photos where it can be used in the F56 without the S493A option, but it is not a perfect fit since the floor lacks the proper ledges and the hinge.
The dealer is correct that these products are not 'designed' to work with your MINI without the option, but it can be used in your MINI with less than perfect fit and function.
