Performance minded MINI drivers want the best they can get! The MINI Cooper factory set-up is very good but is still a compromise for absolutely all drivers, even those that will regularly load four adults or only drive their MINI Cooper or MINI Cooper S to the theater.
Fits the following models:
2014-2021 F56 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Hardtop
Note: Lowering springs are compatible with the EDC / DDC active suspension.
This Spring Set manufactured in Germany, is designed for the performance minded street driver who may want to take his or her MINI Cooper or MINI Cooper S to the track from time to time. These springs lower ride height approximately 1.0"-1.2", providing improved handling while retaining excellent ride quality.
This means better appearance with maximum driving comfort in normal operation and sporty, progressive tuning on the track.
VOGTLAND performance lowering springs, manufactured in Germany, provide multifaceted improvements for your vehicles suspension. The comprehensive design generates a better overall appearance while making a significant improvement in performance. The compound spring rate allows for comfortable ride quality under normal driving conditions while providing maximum performance when being pushed to the limit.
VOGTLAND compound Spring Rate
As the distance of spring travel reduces, the performance demands of a spring drastically increase. Derived from racing, the VOGTLAND compound spring consists of two different spring rates. The initial rate provides the proper pre-load necessary for proper suspension function during all road conditions, and the final rate is designed to provide the appropriate vehicle balance for neutral steering characteristics. These springs are calibrated for the 3rd generation F-Series Mini Cooper and Cooper S models.
NOTE:
Lowering the ride height will add negative camber to the rear. For best results, you should add adjustable rear control arms to correct the rear camber after lowering your car. If you choose not to correct the rear camber, your rear tires will wear unevenly. Install the rear adjustable control arms and have the alignment corrected.
You can find Adjustable Rear Control Arms here.
