Healey Green Metallic Engine Paint - Spray Can , Sprite & Midget
This is the light, metallic green as used on the Big Healey's and some Sprites. This color was used on some Sprite engines in late 1967 and early 1968. After that, all Sprite blocks were painted black. See picture of engine for color example. For the dark, olive green (BMC Green/MOWOG Green), see part GAP110/REP.

Question:
Just bought a 1973 Midget.
Engine paint is orange. Your data says it was originally black. Any explanation on why it would be orange. Looks like chevy orange. Engine ID plate seems to be not disturbed. The car has 53000 miles. I want to make improvements. Do you sell the correct rattle can black paint for this.
Answer:
Someone must have repainted the engine at some point, it's very common if the engine was ever pulled at some time.
We only sell the factory green paints, not the black. But any black engine paint you can find is appropriate.
