Classic Mini petrol locking cap classic 3 Wilmot Breeden style vented
For all mini pickups, vans, estates and MK1/2 Minis. Any early minis without a vent on the top of the tank can also use this cap. A vented cap has been fitted to Minis during its history but must not be fitted to any Injection cars as they require a sealed system. See WLD100660 for non vented cap. Also fits Sprites and Midgets.

Most cars use a vented cap, unless you car was a Canadian car with a sealed system or a late 90's fuel injected mini a that came with a non vented cap. For a mark 11 like yours I would get this https://www.minimania.com/part/GSS154A/Classic-Mini-Locking-Gas-Cap-Vented-Mk1-And-Mk11

Question:
I have a 1978 mini, do I need vented or non-vented gas cap?
Answer:
Non Vented caps were introduced as a way to reduce fuel vapors from being introduced into the atmosphere - your Mini will take either, but depending on your local emission requirements, they will either require a non-vented cap or have no requirement at all.
