Bias spring arrangement fits the shift rod on rod change cars to "bias" the shift lever towards the 3rd gear gate (helps avoid the 2nd-5th gear mis-shift). Used as standard on our 5 speed gearbox to bias the gear changes also. Tightens up all the linkage and makes gear changes feel easier and more direct. A great upgrade for any gearbox.

1: Remove the selector rod from the back of the gearbox
2: Slide the unit onto the lower rod with the two spring legs on each side of the upper rod
3: Re-install the selector rod.
