MINIs with the 'Standard' Halogen Headlights uses the H7 bulb for both the High beam and Low beam. This means 2 per headlight - 4 total for the car.

Before we can recommend anything, we need to know whether your MINI has halogen headlights or xenon headlights.
As for bulb upgrades, we have some halogen bulbs but there are many other options out there. We are reluctant to say if one bulb is brighter or better because it depends on who you ask - 55 watt output is 55 watts, manufacturers may change the color or temperature of the light (more white) and it may 'appear' brighter, but it is still 55 watts....
I would lean towards recommending additional driving lights because even though they may be also 55 watts, you are essentially doubling the light output by adding an extra set of lights....
