Are there any special tools required to change the hoses?
Answer:
The only special tools that MINI uses when servicing the automatic transmission oil cooler are special plugs used to plug the hoses once they are disconnected from the cooler. You shouldn't need any special tools to simply remove the hoses or the adapter.
