MINI Factory replacment rear moldings.  This is the chrome trim that goes along the rear base of the convertible top with the attached rubber trim that deteriorates over time.

Fits the following models:

2005-2008 R52 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Convertible.

Select Right or Left Side.

Here is what one customer had to say about the replacement process:
"Easy to remove/replace with exposed screws once you raise the back of the top for rear compartment access. Only gotcha is wire for the center brake light, which was a bit tough to access for disconnect/reconnect."

And from another customer:
"When installing the new trim and more specifically, the brake light, pull reach behind (ahead) of the brakelight and gently pull on the wires to help it and the rubber gasket go to seat. Otherwise it's easy to trap the wires where they shouldn't be trapped."

For other convertible top replacement parts, see this link.

For the same trim to fit the 2009-2015 Mini Cooper Convertible, see Mini Cooper Convertible Molding R57.

Question:
I'm looking for the chrome/rubber piece that wraps around the bottom of the convertible roof and trunk.
Answer:
It sounds like you need the rubber trim at the rear/base of the convertible top. These rubber strips are part of the chrome trim so you need to replace the chrome trim as well. It is very common for this rubber strip to disintegrate over time - I had to replace them on my 2005 New MINI Cooper R52 when I had the car.

Here is the link to the replacements.

Question:
I just bought a 2006 S convert. I need the rear trim. The rubber has disintegrated. I see you have the trim pieces but the Lower rubber below the chrome piece the rubber that covers the top of the trunk is also gone. My question is that part of the left and right rear molding or a separate part ?
Answer:
Here is the link to the left and right trim (sold separately):
