This pad is made from a composition of rubberised horse hair and is very tough. The pad is glued to the squab frame and then needs to be trimmed to follow the outer edge of the frame. The white wadding material is then layed over this edge and basically softens the edge of the hair pad before the seat cover is fitted. To aid seat fitting, cut a strip off the plastic bag that your seat covers were packed in and lay over the wadding. This will help the seat cover to slide easily over the padding.
