DIAPHRAGM SPRING - Verto types including injection
(Engine Drivetrain Exhaust)
|
The Verto/Valeo type diaphragm included the pressure plate in its assembly, much like a 'normal' car set-up. The spring being of the 'finger' type as opposed to the disc spring used on earlier, three-piece assemblies. There were originally three diaphragm specifications using progressively stronger springs - small-bore, big-bore, and Metro Turbo, later joined by the type used on the injection cars...

If this is not done, clutch slip is inevitable. If using a pressure plate of unknown hi...

Time for a Clutch
December 5, 2012

won't be until the drivetrain is sorted
Jere Dotten finds that we have all of
the original clutch components
With our engine coming together, it was time to find a clutch.
Our car came with a new, stock, clutch and pressure plate. Though they were 30 years old, we decided this OE Br...
