I worked in conjunction with allspeed engineering. Will have 4 for sale either complete for the G10, or if someone was interested in building there own thing so I have to build less complete ones I would entertain that idea as well. I was just hoping to fill the gap and help a few people that wanted to do the conversion and make it a little more bolt on. Fabbing the motor mounts as we speak.

Yea... it's a Minor, I got it as a father/son project. My dad is super stoked and we have already started working on it. I was waiting to post up when we get it a little further along. It basically is sitting on a 86 Toyota 2wd pickup chassis/brakes/suspension. And the engine/trans, etc is out of a 84 Camaro, as well as the steering column. So it has a v6, 700r4 tranny, tilt column, power steering and brakes. Currently in primer, and almost no interior.

Gonna to do kind of a hotrod look. I started lowering it, 3" in the front, 2" in the rear. Should look pretty mean when she's all done. Have to thank Chuck for giving me the headsup on it, and kind of stealing it from him, sorry dude! I owe ya one, or my pops does.

Teaser/Update, spent some time with Minsuki over the weekend and tried to get the motor in the sweet spot. Think it is about there. Sorry it's been taking so long, but got my hands full with 4 projects right now. Cheers!

A side by side comparison of the two.

Suzuki G10 Engine number 2 pulled. This one is from a 92 and an AUTO! Eeeek. Had to be done.

Lastly the 1275 pulled. 3 engines pulled in 1 day! Oh the joy. This one will be getting the camo geo's 5 speed, and my red one will be getting the Auto...

We are trying to do AC, will use the compressor to mock up. But I know we are going to be tight on space. And yes, the frame on drivers side snapped where the arm was connected. Trying to scrap the car this week, now that I got the motor pulled having a hard time finding a place/person interested. Got one guy that's gonna call me back in a second.

I was wondering if this fit an automatic, and you just answered that question. Now I am following this even more closely.

Thanks Steve, well we are building up two demo cars right now, 1 5 speed, and mine will be cough... cough.. automatic with a turbo. However I got to squeeze the 59 Mini out to gain back some shop space. I am hoping in a month we should have something more exciting to show. And yes, the track rods are bent to clear the calipers, and give you full turning radius. This may, or may not be revised. We are still planning out different options. Regardless, target price would be under $2k with the spherical tie rods/lower arm set. Frame is potentially overkill, and the geometry for that particalur tie rod setup has seen the likes of 200hp. Again, may be reworked, but you could go with straight rose-jointed tie rods/arms to save maybe $200, but then would have to run steering limiters. Will keep you guys up to date as things develop.

nice frame Speakers; you should be able to sell them easily.  don't see the point in connecting the tower tops though, as it is redundant with the bulkhead cross member. Was the bend in the track rods necessary for tire clearance? If the front pivot point is in the stock location, straight rods would clear.  If not, the geometry will be affected, as the pivot should be in the same axis as the lower arm bolt, (parallel to the vehicle centerline).  Probably ok for a low perf, 50 hp cruiser though.  How much does it weigh?  how much will you be selling them for?  Just asking, so I can refer customers to you.

Cheers, SA

Just two a soloon with a Chevy Sprint turbo3 cyl,and the Clubman Estate with a G13b DOHC which i am planning on pulling out in favour of another 3 cyl turbo swap.Oh and i also have a shell which i think was originally set up for the turbo from the factory.I could be wrong but the engine bay is different.

Hey Minsuki,

I live on the eastern shore as well (Centreville). Do you live in St Michaels ? I keep hearing about someone who has a few Minis in St Michaels and  I heard of a guy who owns a Mini that works @ the Honda delaer in Easton.

I must have missed that Geo in the Walmart parking lot due to the excellent camoflauge. You could use it as an ice-fishing hut or duck blind once you strip the drivetrain out.......

Dont park that donor car in the grass, you'll loose it!

Planning on a g10 swap into an '80 van myself. I have the mockup motor but needing some subby mounts which should be in the mail. Then I can finish straightening the subby and get to modding. whee!
