Martin, the honda 5 speed is to shift it just like a normal petrol engine with a trans. It keeps the motor in a better efficiency range, and allows for a much much higher top speed in simple terms. That and... well we wanted to make it a manual!

Breathtaking work, I really love it.
What operation does the gear stick/shifter perform?
Loving this project!

Couple photos to update this. Motor bay 99% done other then possibly fabricating some inner fenders. Took her for her first test drive yesterday, she absolutely pulls! Working with tweaking the parameters of the software right now and fine tuning. Getting really close.

1. Dynamic Brake Pedal Regen is pre-programmed in all HyPer 9 Clone files. To utilize Dynamic Brake Pedal Regen, a Brake Pressure Transducer must be installed in the system. This Transducer sends a 0-5V signal that the X1 controller is programmed to transfer into Brake Regen Torque.
OR (MOST LIKELY)
2. Regen on Neutral Operating Profiles
There are three Regen on Neutral values shown below are pre-programmed into HyPer 9 clone files. These values can be adjusted to suit user preference.
• Profile 1 E (End Regen) : 0% (Coast)
• Profile 2 S (Some Regen) : 28%
• Profile 3 H (High Regen) : 40%
Regardless, on a small vehicle it doesn't gain as much as you'd think. Somewhere between 5-20% Max. So 100 mile range may only increase it an additional 5-20 miles. Which is something, Tesla is only reporting between 15 and up to 32% max. Unfortunately small cars simply don’t carry much momentum and thus have less kinetic energy to convert back into the battery.

Could be a contest? I'm still standing behind 125 to 150. But knowing me, will be hard to keep the foot off the throttle... which is getting delivered this week.

Is there a contest for guessing the real world range on this when it released in to the wild?

Slowly chipping away at it. It is now on 4 Rose Petals Wheels. Started installing headliner and glass, hopefully will be done tomorrow night. The Tesla Batteries are waiting for me at the freight terminal for pickup. Still keeping the build as sanitary as we can. Pretty pleased and excited with how it's shaping up, just never fast enough when you have other builds as well that need progressing.

I forgot to update this thread. Have since gotten a we bit further. Fitted the front clip after smoothing most of the firewall and slam panel, and extra wiper holes, and dash pad holes, etc. Got the car in Nardo Grey, still needs to be buffed. But pretty happy with the way she turned out. Popped in some mk2 tails, and freshly rebuild rear subby. The Genuine 10" Rose Petals should be here today, and the mirrors. Really happy with the way things are shaping up. Got a bunch of parts that are trickling in. Battery enclosures, cooling system, wiring, etc up next. Gauges are done being produced, and Adam will be developing a brain box to drive all the analog looking gauges. Stay tuned.
