John McGhee is building an electric set up with a D series Honda transmission in one of his sub frames.
If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

make a car lighter and it's faster everywhere. Colin Chapman.

Also, the guys at ZERO motorcycles in NorCal were engineering a means to convert their motorcycle drivetrain to work with a saloon for "an initial ballpark figure pulled out of the air" of $30K out the door.

I was watching this guy on YouTube playing with wrecked Tesla cars. The problem with Tesla is they will not let you fast charge, which is a problem, especially if you are on a road trip. And this guy just picked up a mini.

Hi,
Swindon Powertrain put out a large Media blast for it's products / services back in early November. They're in England.
I've recently seen a discovery network "MotorTrend Channel" program where a group in ?Ireland/?Scotland?/Wales does many different cars with E mods. They've done a Classic Mini.
I wish you the best of luck. We've seen a local SAMOA member do a very fine job of a woody wagon. Let me know if you'd like his contact info, and I'll roote around for it. Finally, I agree with LWB as a candidate so that you'll be able to keep the battery / ies low in the car by using the under "bed" storage areas. Perhaps even use the blank space in the rear subbie area.
Please feel free to contact me directly. EM in profile, just N of SEA. I'd like to know how you will "gear" your powertrain, or which gearbox you would use. This might be one of the most difficult parts to engineer, especially when you try to take Instant Torque into account.
Best regards,
MSH

John Mcgee is in the process of gathering parts. Not sure what his plan is so far. Best way to find him is on Facebook.

Has anyone converted a classic mini to electric? I have a panel van that I'm thinking of converting.
