Classic Mini High Compression 1275 piston standard | Sold Each
Selected: Standard
Part No: 21253-STD-EA
Fits the following:
Classic Mini
Sprite & MG Midget
Low drag 1275 piston in standard size 2.780 (rings included). This piston has a possible compression ratio of 10.3:1 as fitted to Cooper RSP 1990.

Current pistons differ from the 60s originals and now have a "low drag" slipper skirt design and a shorter lighter 20.6mm wrist pin. Wrist pin height is 1.5276" to crown with a top dish of 8cc.
Performance is enhanced by the use of 3mm oil rings and the smaller drain slot behind this ring decreases the risk of breakage and 2 of 1.5 mm compression rings. Crown depth to first ring is about 10mm.

AE Hepolite is now owned by Federal Mogul and trademarked "Nural". Now Nural stamped 87-524111-00

Sold singly, 4 per engine required--equivalent type was Rover piston TAM2050 stamped AE21963 as fitted to 1990 Cooper 1275 engines.
I’m looking for rings for a standard 1275 piston for my mini. Part number on the hepolite piston is 19010. Hope you can help, need a full set. These are 3 ring pistons.
We do not offer the rings for that piston. We do have in stock a set of std pistons sold as each  https://www.minimania.com/part/21253-STD-EA/Classic-Austin-Mini-Cooper-1275-Pistons-Std-975-Compression-Sold-Each

Over the years, there have probably been a dozen "stock" 1275 pistons. Currently, three different designs are available from AE/Hepolite as "stock" replacements. All have an 8.4cc dished top, but compression ratios are carried by changing pin height (Pin height is the distance from the top of the piston to the center of the wrist pin- see dimension "A" shown here).
