MINI Factory replacement Shift Knob assembly.  The Knob and Boot are sold as a single unit.

Fits the following models:

2007-2013 R56 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Hardtop
2008-2014 R55 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Clubman
2009-2015 R57 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Convertible
2012-2015 R58 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Coupe
2012-2015 R59 MINI Cooper and Cooper S Roadster

The 2007 - 2010 Cooper (non-S) models came with 'plastic' shift knob - the lower half of the knob was plastic - unless the leather interior option was selected. The later Cooper models and all Cooper S models used leather versions. Leather Shift Knob was also an option on early Cooper models - usually came with the leather steering wheel.The Silver and Chrome trim option refers to the 'ring' at the bottom of the boot - Silver is stock and Chrome was offered with the Chrome Line Interior factory option.

NOTE: These knobs are shipped "inside out" to protect the surface of the knob, just flip it around, install and drive!

Question:
Does this kit come with every piece of the shift knob and boot assembly? I recently bought an "OEM" shift knob that didn't fit but when I took off the original to fit it, all of the small tabs on the outer ring broke off. When I eventually tried to get the original shift knob and boot back on, I wasn't able to get the bottom ring, boot, and top ring to clip back in. I need a top and possibly bottom ring so I was wondering if those pieces come with the kit.
Answer:
The shift knobs we offer are the same as the ones from the MINI dealership parts department. If you had an OEM factory shift knob, ours will look very similar.
The MINI Cooper shift knob does include the bottom ring that snaps into the center console and holds the boot in place.

Question:
I have a 2008 New MINI Cooper. I want to put different seats in it along with a racing harness. QUESTION- If I disconnect the electrical plugs on these systems (seat and seat belts) will I mess up something electronic? Also when changing my shift knob- when I pull it straight up as the manual says it seems the whole shifter (knob and rod) are disconnected? Can the SRS system be again activated? How?
Answer:
If you remove the factory seats with airbags and install seats without airbags, you will get an SRS (airbag) error which will disable the entire SRS system.

The shift knob, shaft, and boot are all one unit.

Yes, if all of the airbag components are restored, the SRS system should be restored after you clear the SRS fault code. You may need to have the MINI dealer reset the SRS fault code/error light since the standard code readers will not clear this.
