MINI Cooper S 'dual mode' selectable exhaust from MINI adds performance and maintains your factory warranty!  Dual mode exhaust controls a flap that switches between 'sport mode' and 'track mode' using a battery powered remote.  The 'track mode' is pretty much a straight pipe that bypasses the muffler for incredible sounds! 

Exhaust tips are NOT INCLUDED with the dual mode exhaust system and must be ordered separately.

The Kit is different depending on the engine type in your MINI.  Early F56 models had the B48 engine (some 2014 models) and later models have the B46 engine.

• A remote that allows the driver to open and close the electronic baffle inside the exhaust allowing for a more aggressive note when appropriate
• Track mode – opens the exhaust baffle increasing exhaust noise via a button on the remote (this is mode is not approved for the street)

B46 vs B48 Engines

The initial 3rd Generation F56 MINI Cooper S Hardtop models were introduced with the B48 engine from BMW for the 2014 model year.  The B46 engine replaces the B48 with the 2015 model year. The B46 is a variation of the B48 but classified as Super Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (SULEV) by the EPA.  Both engines are rated at the same horsepower and torque, but the B46 should have slightly better MPG numbers (unconfirmed).
