The Stoptech Street Performance Brake Pads
Feature a special semi-metallic formula with a high co-efficient of friction and very high temperature fade resistance.
Designed for high performance street driving and hard braking applications in both the MINI Cooper & MINI Cooper S, the Stoptech brake pads are designed to meet the demands of high performance driving situations while maintaining their ability to work in normal driving conditions.
Stoptech brake pads combine the benefits of premium street brake pads with aggressive friction formulas suitable for track day and auto cross use. Para-Aramid composites deliver optimum stopping performance over a wide temperature range and are specially formulated to deliver linear response in both cold and hot conditions.
All Stoptech brake pads are 100% positive molded and include OE designed shims to eliminate noise associated with brake pad vibration. In addition each Stoptech brake pad is scorched to remove any impurities in the friction material. While this des not eliminate the need to be-in new pads it does provide improved stopping power right out of the box.
The Hawk dtc70
Dynamic Torque Control-70 - DTC Series full race semi-metallic compounds provide extremely smooth braking performance while providing excellent torque control characteristics unmatched by any other brake pad.
Highest Friction coefficient of any Hawk racing compound. Consistent torque over all pressures with high Initial Bite. Excellent modulation and release characteristics with good wear.
Max Operating Temp of 1600°F with moderate noise, high dust, and moderate to high bite/mu. Not recommended for street use.
PFC01
A full race compound with increased initial bite and improved modulation. The friction level has been increased for the first two-thirds of the braking event, with a flatter torque curve and more linear friction curve. This allows the driver to attack the brake pedal later, reducing the time spent on the brakes.
Very smooth release will not over-slow the car, and won't overwhelm the car's set-up. The 01 has excellent modulation characteristics that improve controllability and driver confidence. The 01 uses Performance Friction's unique lubrication package that maintains a minimal transfer layer on the disc to help prevent brake judder and provide excellent release properties, therefore reducing overall drag in the brake system. 01 is extremely easy on the discs with very low wear.
Effective from 167°F and reach 2000°F (75°C , reach 1100°C), optimum operating range is between 860°F and 1004°F (460?C and 540°C).
