We call this a 'track' setup since the caliper pistons do NOT have dust boots, street kits typically have dust boots. However the track setup uses Stainless Steel pistons with NO dust boots while the NMB2041 street setup uses aluminum pistons. You 'can' use this on the streets, and many people do - as long as you are aware of these differences.

This Big Brake Kit Includes:

Forged Billet DynaPro 4 Piston Calipers - The strength of the DynaPro is a combination of process and design. The process of stess-flow forging re-aligns the internal grain structure of the metal to flow within the contour of the caliper body. This produces a part with superior strength over machined block billet parts or castings. The FEA generated body design features a radial transition between the piston bores and caliper bridges. This eliminates machined steps and shoulders in this critical strength area and substantially increases the resistance against deflection and body separation under high load. Structural deflection and volume displacement testing have proven the efficiency of this innovative design. This competition model uses heavy wall stainless pistons to provide addition protection against corrosion and heat transfer from the pads.The bottom line is a firm pedal with outstanding stopping power. This 11.75" Track version BBK does not have dust boots on the caliper pistons, in contrast to the NMB2041 12.19" street/track BBK that does use dust boots.

Smart Pad BP-10 Performance Street Pads - Medium friction compound with the low noise and low dust of a street performance compound and the increased friction characteristics of a semi-metallic race compound. GT Series Rotor Mounting Hats - Lightweight and strong, these hats are specially designed for use on OE hubs without modifications or interference to the suspension or ABS components. Black anodized finish prevents corrosion and enhances appearance.

GT Series 11.75" Curved Vane Rotors - Wilwood's GT 36 Curved Vane Spec-37 rotors are manufactured from a proprietary iron alloy developed to withstand extreme temperatures with the highest possible degree of resistance against distortion, warping, cracking, and wear. The formulation for this alloy is a derivative of technology and materials that were significant in the development of the extreme duty military spec rotors that are manufactured by Wilwood. Every Spec 37 rotor is precision machined to less than .001" run-out, flatness, and parallelism. Combined with our proven GT Series asymmetrical face slot pattern and individual dynamic balancing, you are assured the smoothest braking available.

Caliper Brackets and Hardware - Aluminum mount brackets with steel threaded bolt inserts are lightweight and stong. Each bracket is CNC machined for precise fit. Grade 8 or higher and AN style nuts, bolts studs, washers, and alignment shims are included in all applicable kits.

CHECK BRAKE CALIPER TEMPLATE BEFORE ORDERING. Use this template to ensure compatibility with your wheels - Big Brake Kits require more space behind the spokes to clear the caliper. In some cases, spacers may provide the necessary clearance.

Note: Installation of Wilwood Disc Brakes may affect the wheel offset.

Brake fluid should be replaced every 2 years, more often if you track your MINI.
