Double Bearing Steel Billet Hub Kit | Austin-Healey Sprite and MG Midget

Kit includes 2 hubs. For the ultimate in reliability, converting to a steel hub (stock is cast iron) and adding another wheel bearing is the answer. Made from 4140 Chrome Moly Heat Treated steel, the double bearing adds better support for wide tires and adds to the support of the axle, greatly decreasing the chance of breaking even a stock axle. It is universally agreed that a double bearing rear hub is necessary on any racing Sprite or Midget. But not all are created equally. Our bearing hubs have been improved in that they feature a narrow circlip to locate the seal. This eliminates the frequent problem of the seal backing out causing an oil leak.
