There is no bolt in kit, I made a few but they have all been long sold and installed. Honestly the best route is going to be using the stock subframe and chopping forward of the towers and making a frame and mounts to suite. Then you will have to cut/make up your axles, shifter, etc. Allspeed does not make a suzuki g10 frame, the make one to fit the g13b. The picture they use on there site is actually my picture I guess the borrowed, and that was obviously before mounts were made. Good luck, but you may have to either have some one make a frame, you make a frame, or buy another kit/engine combo that is available on the market like d16, b16, k20, hybusa, yamaha, etc.

I have been following your thread on the g10 engine on the mini. I currently own a 1985 austin mini with a cracked engine. Looked at all the engine swaps out there and I am leaning towards the g10 engine. The only frame kit I have seen on the Internet is from allspeed. Are your kits available. If so, how much ?  Keep in mind I prefer a kit with everything needed to get on the road.

Cheers Rudy

As for getting worse mpg with bigger rims. It is very common. It is all due to rotating mass and the weight is further from the center point of the wheel. You will almost always get worse gas mileage with bigger rims, but I said almost. If you go with a rim that is lighter than a stock wheel then it shouldn't be as bad. In my daily driver... I got the car with 17s and got 30 mpg -___- I put stock steel rims on there for winter and got 38mpg. I ditched the 17s and got light weight 16s that are lighter than my stock 15s. I am now at 36mpg. The distance away from the center hub and the weight of the wheel will matter on MPG.

Also VW did a chart where they showed the different MPG per each size rim on the same car. They did 15s-20s.

The smaller rim was much greater in MPG than the larger rim.

KRD that and 97 through 2000 Mini's were the heaviest Minis produced i recall something like 1670 lbs, also the 12 inch wheeled ones were faster (not much) than the 13 inchers .

Mine is about stock weight now, maybe a little less.  Surprised your MPG worsened with the 20s, unless you also went wider; Large diameter tires have less rolling restance, and they reduce engine RPM at given speed, which usually helps MPG.  They do take a bit more energy to accelerate/decelerate, but less energy to maintain speed.

Good point Malsal. I am sure Steve's is a lot lighter since he races his. I have a 1999 mini that i put a vtec in. Little chubbier and has 13" rims along with a/c.

Weight has a lot to do with itas i am sure you know and although i don't know the weight of your VTEC Steve by you postings it is i am sure a lot lighter than the average VTEC. It is the same with all these 20 inch wheeled cars / trucks it takes more to get it in motion and keep it there and more to stop it. Just look at the small hybrids all running small wheels and my Son just put 20's (were 16's) on his car the gas mileage dropped 3mpg on his computer.

Well, I have a set of KAD 6 pots and 8.7s on the shelf,(biggest I can fit inside my 10" wheels,), but have not installed them yet, because the 7.9s are doing the job so far. If It stopped any harder the rear wheels might lift.

Hmm.

i went from 8.4" to 9.5 and absolutely love them!.

I had dual pot 8.4"  and tried all the different pads and finally went with 9.5"

7.9 solid discs with 4 pots and EBC pads have been working fine for me with 200 HP VTEC; even on the track with sticky slicks and stopping from 110 MPH on the straights.  The 9.5 vented jobs are overkill and just add excess unsprung weight in my opinion, unless you have a very heavy car(1600+).

Man.. The G13 fits in there perfect.. Makes me wish i went that way instead of a d16z6 vtec haha.

You think you guys will need to upgrade the brakes or 8.4"s do the job?
I made some custom ones to help out the stopping in the honda swap.

Yes Steve, thanks. I was able to get the pedals mounted on Sunday. So much left to do, but it feels good everytime you get 1 step closer. 62 has maybe 2 more days left and then pickup. Can't wait to start on my car!

For all G10 1989-2000 3 cylinder engines US$50 + shipping. With that said, I have no idea what the pan-top heads are, 87? I've only worked with early 90's motors, all 3 I actually have had are 1992 engines. The guy is actually closer to you than me, I believe he is in Washington State. He can water jet cut any flange you want if you supply the gasket.

Will those flanges work on the early "pan-top" heads?

Here is the custom 3 into 1 stainless header, water jet cut flanges, o2 added, and flex pipe.
