See Yakima Halfback Installation Instructions.
Yakima Tube Top
If your bike frame lacks the upper horizontal bar common with some ladies bike or full suspension bike, you may want to consider the optional Yakima Tube Top. The Tube Top attaches between the seat post and handle bar post providing a nice level bar for mounting onto 'hanging' bike racks. The Tube Top can also be used on standard frames to avoid stress or damage to the top bar on your high end bike (especially if you have shift cables running under the top bar).
Halfback vs. Fullback - What's the Difference?
Aside from the finish and look of the rack itself, the main difference between the Halfback and the Fullback is the Fullback includes the SKS locking package that secures rack to vehicle, bikes to rack to help prevent theft. The Halfback does not include the locking package.
