Classic Mini Red Coil Spring & Adjustable HI-LO Suspension Upgrade Kit
The Mini Cooper has earned much of it's reputation because if it superb handling and performance. But many of us would not only like to have great handling but also want it to be comfortable to drive as an everyday street car. The stock Mini Cooper suspension if most often politely called stiff. With the very short wheel base and rubber cone suspension, it is hardly a real comfortable car to use daily. While it is not practical to change the wheel base, we can by using new technology coil springs make a noticable improvment in ride comfort without compromising handling.
This great kit includes C-SRP100 BLUE Coil Springs AND adjustable trumpets.

Question:
If I switch to this suspension should I also get an alignment after installing
Answer:
The major benefit of a Hi-Lo adjustable suspension is the ability to adjust ride height and precisely set corner weights. Alignment will change as rid height changes and thus it is VERY beneficial to have it aligned. If you don't already have adjustable camber and caster you might consider them to optimize the alignment potential.
Question:
Recently I located and purchased a 1968 Mk2 pickup. My goal is to get the appearance (interior and exterior) as close to original look. But upgrade the engine, transmission, suspension, and brakes to current technology.
Can you please point me in the right direction so I can begin purchasing the right products. What order would you suggest I follow? I plan to do the paint and interior last
Answer:
Most of the pick ups and vans/estates are similar in that they all have Mk I/II type trim with the sliding windows and exterior door handles. Your car seems to have a 1275cc engine ("12H" of the serial number) which isn't original as your car likely came with 848cc originally.
I suppose upgrading to front disc brakes would be a good first step. The engine (and power) has already been upgraded with that engine. All commercial vehicles had dry suspension so you could upgrade to something like springs and hi-lows: https://www.minimania.com/part/MMKT0908/Classic-Austin-Mini-Blue-Coil-Spring-Upgrade-With-Adjustable-Hi-lo-Suspension
Or just refresh with new rubber cones.
I think I would get those things done first. Depending on what you'd want to do with the 1275cc and gearbox, that could come next.
