I have a 65 Sprite with a 1275 engine (positive ground) would this distributor be a good choice or what do you recommend?
Answer:
Most of the electronic distributors are for negative ground systems, including this one. We do offer Pertronix kits to convert your points dizzy to electronic that's positive ground specific - both for 23/25 types and 43/45 type distributors. Powerspark does offer a positive ground 45D type distributor (without the 1275 specific curve) but it's more expensive than the PSD4-75.

I received my new ‘57 MM Traveler on Tuesday. Spriget upgrade years ago. Described as 1298 cc. Hard to find much info, compared to the 1275. The shop manual (Brooklands) arrives Wednesday. I want to work to tune her up for a weekend ride. Are the ignition components interchangeable between the 1275 and 1298? I’m going to need all the basics—I am guessing/hoping you keep the basics in stock?

Answer:
There was no factory 1298cc engine. 57's came from the factory with a 948cc engine and a smoothcase 4-speed gearbox.
It's possible you have an overbored 1275cc from a Sprite or Midget and ribcase gearbox as this is a very common upgrade.
Overbore sizes of the 1275 are:
+0.020" = 1293 cc +0.040" = 1310 cc +0.060" = 1330 cc
I think a +.030" is around 1301cc so maybe that's what it is. Anyway, all of the components for a 1275 are the same regardless of the overbored size. All the hardware is Imperial not metric or Whitworth. We don't sell feeler gauges or timing lights but do sell carb gauges. You'll need to know what carb(s) you have and which distributor.

I have a 1960 Morris Minor Traveller with a 1275 engine (I believe it's out of a MG Midget.) I am out to buy a new distributor the choice is between the Powerspark Mini Standard Electronic 25D and 45D Pre-A+ Electronic Distributor With 1275cc Curve, but I am not sure what is the CURVE is about, do I need that?
Answer:
The curve is the advanced curve that the distributor produces. The 1275 curve is more appropriate for 1275 engines but any pre-A+ style distributor will work for you as long as you're careful when setting the timing.

I have a 74 Classic Mini with negative ground. I have an aftermarket distributor. I opt for a complete electronic ignition with a new distributor. Do you have it? Which one should be the 25 or 45 it has a 1275 cc engine?
Answer:
It depends on whether your engine is an A+ or pre-A+ type. If the distributor is secured to the block with two screws it's a pre-A+, if it uses this type of clamp it's an A+ engine.
Once you've determined that, then you can choose which negative ground electronic distributor you want. For A+ negative ground, I would recommend this one. For the Pre-A+ engines I would recommend this one.
