 The rod bearings on all later model 1275cc (including Austin Americas) and the latest A+ block were all increased in diameter for longer life and reliability. The original "S" and Sprite 1275cc engines only have a rod journal diameter of 1.625. These later motors have a journal size of 1.750"; bigger bearing- longer life! Standard size.

King brand rod and main bearings are the choice of many rebuilders. These Tri-Metal bearings  are an upgrade over the standard OEM Vandervell type replacements. A good choice for hot road or race engines.
